The Retreat is here for YOU. Our aim is to make your stay as relaxing and memorable as we can. With that in mind, we have tried to provide you with everything you might need to enjoy a stress-free holiday or romantic weekend...
Lounge
The lounge is designed for stretching out, putting your feet up and watching SkySport or SkyMovies on the wall-mounted TV. There is also a DVD player installed, and a huge library of DVD's for your use, all catalogued so you're sure to be able to find something to suit on those wet days...
The large sliding doors are tinted for extra privacy, but on a beautiful day, you're going to want to push those stacker-sliders all the way back and enjoy the view out to your own landscaped garden - so tranquil it may just inspire you to do the gardening when you arrive back home... Or not.
Kitchen
This modern kitchen contains everything you would need and expect.
A new ceramic cooktop with touch controls and full thermowave oven. A backup microwave for those just wanting to heat but not really cook. A stainless fridge to store the leftover pizza/takeout for those who decided they didn't want a bar of any cooking or heating at all! (Yes, we've been there, done that....)
The underbench fridge will have ice in the icebox for those of you partaking in a beverage or two (it has been known to happen), and you also have access to a vertical freezer in the garage should you want to store ice-cream or the likes.
A toaster, jug, and all the usual utensils are also in place for your use.
Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a generous shower complete with Showerdome. The Showerdome prevents the steam from escaping the shower cubicle, providing two things - a moisture-free bathroom outside the shower, and the need to run the water at a slightly cooler temperature than normal, due the to the heat locked in the cubicle. Environmentally friendly all round.
A 3-door mirrored cabinet above the vanity allows the ladies (and yes, men too) to use the doors on angles so that you can see the back of those beautiful hairdo's . There is ample storage both in the cabinet, and the deep vanity drawer, so you can bring all your smellies with you - a must for a romantic weekend, after all! A good hairdryer is provided.
A modern drier and washing machine are located in the guest laundry in the garage.
Bedroom
Your queensize bed comes complete with a double-control fleecy electric blanket to keep you extra cozy on those cooler nights, and a wall-mounted TV which incorporates a DVD player, so if you don't feel like going to the movies tonight, hey, you don't have to - have an early night instead!
You have a double built-in wardrobe, with two full-length mirrors built into the doors. The wardrobe also contains drawers and shelves for extra storage if you are some of our longer-staying guests. Your bedside clock includes an ipod player/charger, and yes, the sounds are pretty good, so don't forget to bring yours (ipod that is...).
French doors open out onto a wisteria-covered patio, complete with seating for two. The doors have tinted glass for added privacy.
Outdoor Bath
Our 'little bit of Coast', the outdoor bath sits within a lush fernery, just waiting for you to fill it up. We provide the bubble-bath and the ambience, you provide the 'ooh's and aah's'. No waiting around for the water to heat up, just turn on the taps. They are hooked up to a gas califont which will give you instant hot water.
Not only that, buy if you decide you'd like to bathe by candlelight, just use the remotes to switch off the outdoor lighting and switch on the flameless candles. No fire risk here, and absolutely NO chance of getting out of this bath with an ounce of stress left in your body....
